How to connect Studio with Orchestrator

Connecting AutomatR Studio with AutomatR Orchestrator is a straightforward process that enables you to centrally manage and monitor your automation workflows. Here's a brief overview of how to connect AutomatR Studio with Orchestrator:

Prerequisites: Before connecting Studio with Orchestrator, ensure that you have access to a AutomatR Orchestrator instance and the necessary credentials (username and password) with appropriate permissions.

  1. Launch AutomatR Studio on your computer.

  2. Upon launching AutomatR Studio, you will be prompted to the Sign-In screen, where you need to enter your credentials and connect to your Hub.

    • In the provided field, type or paste the Hub URL associated with your AutomatR account.

    • Once you've entered the Hub URL, click the Sign In button to proceed.

  3. After clicking Sign In, a default web browser will open, displaying the AutomatR Login screen. Follow these steps to log in:

    • Provide your registered Email address and Password associated with your AutomatR account in the respective fields.

    • Once you've entered your credentials, click the Login button to authenticate your account.

  4. After successful login, you will be directed to a screen where you need to select a Tenant from the available options. Follow these steps:

    • Review the list of available Tenants and choose the appropriate one for your use case by clicking on it.
  5. Upon selecting the Tenant, a confirmation message will appear on the screen indicating that your authentication was successful.

    • A pop-up dialog will display with the option to Open AutomatR. You can proceed by clicking this option.

    Or

    • If you prefer to open the AutomatR Studio manually or if the pop-up is closed accidentally, the Authentication Successful screen will also provide a link to open Studio. You can manually open Studio by clicking the link.
  6. After clicking Open AutomatR, the AutomatR Studio application will open, and you will be presented with the Available Bots list. Follow these steps:

    • Review the list of Available Bots and choose the Bot that aligns with your intended automation tasks.

    • Once you've choosen a Bot, click the Run button located beside it to initiate the AutomatR Studio application.

  7. After clicking Run, AutomatR Studio will open and display the home screen.

  8. In AutomatR Studio, click on the Settings tab in the left menu.

  9. Within the Settings tab, find the Orchestrator Settings button and click on it. This action will open the Orchestrator Settings window.

  10. In the AutomatR Orchestrator Settings window, you'll be viewing the AutomatR Orchestrator URL. Review the URL details and click Save.

  11. The AutomatR Studio and Orchestrator are now synced, the settings are saved and connection is established.

  12. You'll see a notification indicating that Studio is now connected to Orchestrator. You're now ready to work with Orchestrator features from within Studio.

  13. To take full advantage of Orchestrator integration, you can publish your automation workflows to Orchestrator. This allows you to schedule, monitor, and manage the execution of these workflows centrally.

  14. With Studio connected to Orchestrator, you can use Orchestrator's features to manage bots, schedule jobs, and monitor the status and progress of your automation processes.

Connecting AutomatR Studio with AutomatR Orchestrator streamlines automation management, enhances control, and provides centralized oversight of your automation efforts. It's a crucial step in orchestrating and scaling your automation solutions effectively.
